Official Erie County records must be requested from the office that maintains them. The Erie County Courthouse in the county seat holds court and sheriff functions at separate counters, while police reports remain with the city or other arresting agency. The contacts below identify the proper starting points.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference resource cannot retrieve criminal records, conduct official checks, correct or remove a record, or accept an expungement filing. Those actions belong to the proper government custodian.
